Update: I uploaded a video on submitting an article to AMR and info how on how to get a bonus list of directories for AMR if you purchase from one of my affiliate links (any of them sending you to the AMR website from this post).
Article marketing robot is a one time payment program that submits your article with spin syntax to THOUSANDS of directories! As you can see from my screen shot, it has over 1k PR1+ directories! If you include PR0+ that number actually goes up to 6k but I personally just keep the numbers to PR1+.
Article marketing robot does not have an intuitive user interface to use the first time, you will definitely have to read the instructions, but after your first submission it gets very easy; especially since your article accounts will already be created and you can just re-use these. They have some great tips in their instructions to get a lot of directories to accept your articles and reduce the signup errors such as using a domain email account ([email protected]) instead of a @gmail or @hotmail account. I know goarticles requires this and I imagine so other article directories might also so this definitely will help you.
While a lot of directories do fail as you can see on my screenshot (almost half actually…) I still had 700+ submissions completed for these 2 articles submitted over ~25 days. Oh by the way, AMR has a great scheduler tool that can work automatically (it can startup with your computer) or it can just tell you when some articles are due to be submitted. For example, I made my articles submit to 100 directories every ~2 days. Usually I like to keep my article submissions to around ~30 per day for other services but since around half of these end up failing I figured this was a good number.
If you want, the software can extract the live links of where your articles appear but so far I did not really use this feature much because it recently got a major software update and the live links part was a bit buggy. UPDATE: The live links feature works well now but it will take time (obviously) before all the article directories accept your article and provide the link. It’s not perfect but it returns a good number of links. If you want to see how many got indexed, use the trick in my seolinkvine review (a service I do not recommend at all…) where I do a Google phrase match search on a specific sentence in my article that is not spinned so it appears in every article.
Conclusion on ranking results:
And yes, if you are reading this article marketing robot review only to see my end result, I can definitely say that by using AMR I saw some great ranking changes. AMR is definitely a must buy especially considering it is a one time payment software. So far, it’s been updated and maintained a lot, something which most non monthly software’s fail at over time (once the owner decides to move on I suppose). But for the past 3 months it has been updated a lot and AMR has been out for almost a year now so I think that gives you a good idea of how much the creator is supporting it! Once the live links are working again I might consider extracting them and doing backlinks to these articles to make them stronger but currently AMR is already working really well! If you are using my backlinking strategy than AMR should come into play after your third month and make sure you use the scheduling feature. The articles will naturally not all be accepted together by the directories but I had great success with about 100 submissions (half of those might fail) every 2 days as mentioned.
Currently theirs an AMR trial that works almost as well as the real version with a 5 day timer.
UPDATE Oct 16 2011: I have been updating my reviews on the blog recently with star ratings and I have to give AMR an almost 5 star rating. While it’s not perfect, most of AMR’s competitors have monthly fees that range from $30 to $130 while AMR is a one time fee that provides results. I highly recommend it to anyone just starting because even a year later AMR is a very important source of backlinks for me that constantly helps my new sites get a good amount of backlinks that make them go from hidden to the second and first page of Google. At that point, I usually mix in other networks and more AMR articles.
UPDATE: Here is a video of me uploading an article to AMR submission:
Article Marketing Robot Bonus
If you buy Article Marketing Robot after going from my affiliate link (any AMR link on this page) make sure to email me, linkback[at]alexandertrifiro.com with your clickbank receipt # and I’ll email you an article marketing robot bonus list of 2500 directories that you can add to AMR, not all of them will work 100%. Sadly I can’t extract the websites once they are added and confirmed inside AMR so some of these will not be added but it will definitely add hundreds of sites to your list, my directory list currently is at 7,697.
Update on Sept 27 2011
With the recent version of AMR my total article directory list is around ~2,500 total now . I think by default you start at 2k or so atm. They removed a lot of the buggy ones that simply waste the software’s time. Out of those, I get about 450-650 articles successfully sent per AMR run. I’m not 100% sure since all working sites
AMR Discount
Currently, you can find a $10 article marketing robot discount if you use the links on this page (which are also my affiliate link for which I will be compensated for). I’m not sure how long this AMR discount will last but for now I changed the links to redirect to the AMR discount page.
Would you say this program could replace need for sites like Article ranks? Or would you do both
It`s not a full replacement but it definitely can be used after the 2-3 month lifetime of your site to start doing a lot of backlinks. Later down the road I would combine them (which is what I do on my 1 yr old website). AMR uses article directories, article ranks is other people`s websites that are probably not directories so they both are 2 difference sources of backlinks (I re-use articles between software/services too sometimes)
Hi, Do you feel blog posts or article marketing is more effective?
Article marketing for sure. I never had luck with blog posts (wow I completely forgot to answer this comment, sorry!)
Can you explain the reasoning behind some of your timeline of website backlinks?
You said first 2-3 months you do not want many backlinks but something like 15-30.
Then afterwards you want to do a lot of backlinks.
Thanks again for the help on this site 🙂
On, the first 2-3 months I do not do many backlinks, I just focus on putting content on my website. The backlinks I do during these months are mostly article directories and stuff like hubpages or post runner. Basically I only do a few links (maybe 1 a day) to my website. After that, I start using article ranks or UAW or AMR ( not all at the same time at this stage) to start automatically having 5-30 (your choice) backlinks a day done to my website.
If you were asking for later on like 4+ months well that depend son your website and how it is doing. Sometimes you are already #1 for keywords :). IF not, I will start using services I still haven’t used for that website for more backlinks (If I used AMR I will use AR or UAW after, or all)
Excellent resources you guys are offering here. I’m excited to get a look at the niche refinery, seems fantastic.
I’ve used AMR before and it’s a great program. Just make sure to take the time to really spin the articles well and keep them fairly readable
Ya, if you use these tools without being lazy that’s when you see the benefits. I remember seeing people in forums saying x tool or service sucks (often UAW since it’s been around for years) and when I use them my results often are different.
Though, even with proper usage some services/tools still suck 🙂
Have you tried Sick Submitter’s article module yet and, if so, how does it compare to AMR?
Not yet, I’m currently trying the profile submitter and I did a lot of them a few weeks ago (so far it does not seem to help… It might be because of the new google algo change, I remember profiles used to help me when I would give them a try in the past). I doubt the article module compares to AMR but I’ll check and see if they have some werbsites that AMR does not.
Thank you Alex for this review.
I use AMR one month ago and it is a very good software. Agree with you about settings.
One question: do you think that it is important to have many article submiting software or one it is sufficient. I ask this because fonctions are the same ?
I have seen others in the past on trial and always found them really weak. AMR is the first article submitter I ever bought so I definitely think it’s sufficient.
Alex, this program is fucking money
Great review
Thanks 😀
Alex, when you are spinning article do you manually check the result of spinning/ correcting synonyms so it would be more readable ? or keep it as it is?
I manually check it.
Alex what are you doing regarding the captcha every submission, are you doing it manually or is a way to automate this ?
I use of the two auto captcha solving services, you can find the info in the options.
ohh thanks a lot , just saw it! this can saves tons of time!
quite a few ppl on bhw are complaining about amr dropping them in rankings lately since panda… did you notice anything negative?
Nope, but I don’t only use AMR at this point anyway on keywords that I previously only used AMR.
Hey alex, I have a question : Do you need captcha credits for every submissions that you make or you need it only when you are first registering for an account to the services ?
And can you use that account for all of your submissions or you need to make a different one for each of your website?
Depends on the article submission service. AMR does not use many captcha credits if that’s what you are worried about, nothing like using sick submitter or senuke.
I use the same account.
Yeah, I will buy it today too, I am curious about one thing:
For a niche you basically write a spun article and you only change the titles and descriptions for each submission.
1.You program AMR to spun and change between the titles and descriptions for 1 website. I am right ?
2.In the resource box, how many KW do you target ?
3.I saw that for each keyword targeted in the resource box you will also your different anchor texts ( mostly 3 different ones ). I am right ?
4.You write and integrate in the resource box a paragraph for each different targeted keyword ? or you create different spun articles for each one and put a different resource ?
Have a nice day,
Florin
1. Yes, but not sure what you mean. For titles I do 2 levels of spinning, title and words. For body/descriptions I only do 1 level (only word, not sentences).
2. A lot, 4 to 10? Depends how many I want to submit articles for…
3.yes
4. I do like 2-3 different ressource boxes and add my keywords in them. I also spin words of course (2 level spinning like titles)
Hey Alex,
I wonder what type of service you use to build backlinks on the AMR URLs that are not indexed?
Thanks,
Mike
I have an index cluster blog that I use backlink energizer on ($50+ plugin) so that helps a bit. Beyond that I’m currently testing a few backlink indexing services and I’ll report on those soon. I’m also asking my VA to create lists of auto approve blogs using scrapebox and in the future I’ll be trying out that list to get my articles indexed, we’ll see if that works.
I was wondering about BE. If you ever have time, I would like to know how you set that up and use it.
Thanks!
I might do a post on that later on when I found the best ways to make it work for me. So far I just create many web 2.0s and self hosted word press blogs. Put a bit of highly spun content (usually the leading article ones that I talk on my $5 for spun article post) once a week for a few weeks and do backlinks to the ones that are not indexed.
Quick question on amr (I just got it) –
When beginning to add the author info, do you add your legit details or enter “pen name’ information?
Thanks!
pen name info
Thanks Alex 🙂
Question:
When you are in the edit mode for your article (and want to do scheduling) how many spun articles do you have spun? The default, when the spin pop up box comes up is 100.
Thanks!
I just insert the spin syntax within the article, but if theirs an option for that it’s the default since I never touched it.
If you use the default and submit to 1000 directories, only 100 different versions will be sent out to the different directories, for AMR first spins articles and then submits the amount of spun articles. It doesn’t continually spin articles per submissions — it just spins the amount you select first and then it submit those.
It’s probably wise especially post P an da that a person spun approximately how much they wish to submit the specific article. A lot of article directories try to clean up duplicate content, so the 100 spun option probably won’t be as effective when doing hundreds or 1000+ submissions.
Alex,
Does AMR supply you with the links of where your article was posted? So we can ping or build bl’s to it.
Thanks
Somewhat, look in the instructions how to check for “live links”
Hey Alex,
I’ve been using AMR for a few weeks now and I’m curious about one thing, should I create a new author for every niche/website I’m creating articles for or is one author enough for multiple niches?
Thanks,
Edgar
I don’t bother creating more author names but you could if you want.
Hey Alex,
Just bought AMR.
1. Do you register for every article site listed or just high PR ones?
2. I submitted my article to 70 sites (reoccuring every 24hrs)… it only sumbitted to about 20-25 sites. Will it submit to the rest of the 70 sites later on in the day or has something gone wrong? …on top of that, all of them failed.
THanks, Im hoping to get some good results from AMR
1. All of them
2. A lot of them will fail usually 50% for me, all you can do for best results is follow their guidelines which mentions things like not using a free email account and other tips that make sure most unique requirements some directories have will be met.
Ok. So you would try to register with all 9000 directories and then each time you sumbit your article you submit it to every directory that was approved? Or do you limit how many directories you submit to for each article (e.g. max 500 – knowing half will not be approved = 250successful submissions)?
Thanks
I don’t over complicate things, I just try to get successful registrations with every directories and then I post to all of those which have a health of 10 or more. I sent a few articles a few days ago and the count was 1.5k directories that it was going to send articles to over the next weeks.
Alex what do you mean have 10 health? is there some option like that in AMR to use?
moran, i think it just indicates how reliable the article directory is or something like that. yes, this is a feature on AMR
thanks OZZ just saw it!
Hey, I have a quick question for you guys. I currently use AMR, Article Ranks and backlink solutions. I am thinking of getting some other networks. In particular i am thinking of getting UAW. My questions, Do all of theses sites submit to a different selection of blogs/article directories? Do you think there is some overlap between the sites?
AR and backlink solutions do. UAW and AMR have some sites that they share (especially article directories of course). Well, AR might have a few shared with UAW and AMR but it would not share article directories. I’m currently testing using AMR, UAW and UAW + AMR on a few websites in this warrior forum post. So far AMR alone is winning but I would assume eventually the AMR + AUW site will win… we’ll see.
Hi, I have a question.
What is your success rate on getting backlinks from the articles indexed? Also, how long does it take for these backlinks to get indexed?
I’ve had AMR for a couple of months now, but almost none of my backlinks have been indexed. I have created an RSS feed out of the links and submitted these to RSS directories.
The doing RSS feed out of the lists and submitting it to RSS directories is a very poor way to get them indexed in my experience. In fact I always felt RSS feeds were EXTREMELY useless to me. Anyway, I would suggest you use a method such as using backlinks indexer and submitting the url’s there directly. Here’s a link to the post where I compare these backlinking indexing services/tools : http://thelinkback.com/comparison-of-backlink-indexing-services-automated-ways-to-help-backlinks-get-indexed/
Of the 2000 article directories in AMR, only 250 are successful. I just bought it today and everything else throws 404’s, failed the page you requested is not available, etc. Those seem like crummy odds for a program that costs as much as it does.
With the new version which removed a lot of the unusable sites I am about down to ~2,500 sites now and I checkd for the last articles I sent and about 1/5 were successfully submitted, (I see numbers around 450-650 for 4 articles).
Try to keep making accounts and make sure you are using a [email protected] email (not a free one) and that you followed the best author practice guide when setting up your account. I can’t remember them off the top of my head but I think they had stuff such as 8 character password, capital letter .. etc. Since some websites have unique requirements for registration.
Alex, I found the amount of actual backlinks even more sobering. Don’t assume that all the live links have your backlinks, because unfortunately I found a lot of the pages that don’t exist or the links have been eliminated by the directory owners. Since you have SB, use the link checker. You may even want to check with Dofollow checker as well, so you can blacklist some of those sites as well.
ya I actually prefer collecting the pingbacks and the live links as a way to collect the url’s before doing a check links and sending them to indexation services. I don’t really care about checking if the links are do or no follow, a mix is great anyway :).
How do you feel about article marketing for traffic? I once read a book from some guy who came out with some 5 dollar a day system adsense site system his marketing strat was to spam article directories in hopes of generating 17 hits a day on his website
I guess my question is whats the pros and cons of spamming these directories with my articles?
Wouldn’t it flag google with all the backlinks the site would be getting at once?
I never really cared about actual article mkt traffic, as far as I’m concerned it’s a bonus and with the big panda change to article directories rankings they lost a lot of their traffic.
Awesome website guys. I just discovered it today from the Warrior Forum experiment.
Regarding AMR success rates… I’ve been getting 60-70% success lately. There’s great advice on improving success rates on the AMR forum. Here are the tips that worked for me:
Author Account:
-email address: not from gmail, yahoo, etc. (As Alex mentioned)
-Author Account Login Id: Keep it to a total of seven characters that are really unique with no numbers. I usually pick a three character first name (ex. Mia) and four character last name (ex. Smit). The program concatenates these to create your autor login. (ex. MiaSmit)
-Author Account Password: One capitalized Alpha character, three lower case alpha characters, then four numeric characters (ex. Test1234)
Article:
-Title: Each word capitalized. 4-5 word titles work better than 2-3 word titles (ex. SEO Practices For Ulitmate Success)
-Summary: Keep the summary to two short sentences… between 15-20 words. (ex. An overview of the best SEO strategies. Read on for tips on how to win with SEO). Also, after you submit to all of your directories, delete the summary altogether and resubmit to the Failed sites. Some directories will accept only without a summary.
-To the categories section, make sure to add these categories: Miscellaneous, Uncategorized, Top, 1, Other, General
To get these links indexed I’d recommend mass social bookmarking. I’m actually about to upgrade and buy BMD through Alex’s affiliate link.
Good luck!
Thanks for sharing those tips! I forgot to mention the article tips! I also capitalize every title because some directories refuse titles that do not have capital letters for every word. I’m also going to be using BMD for getting these links indexed soon, if you use my aff link make sure to save your receipt number, I will be sharing the list of directories I have been using with BMD once the post goes up . It’s a really good software, I should of used it a year+ ago when I started IM but the high price tag without a trial always put me off… It actually has been helping rankings with direct links to my money site and I will be sharing those ranking improvements in the post (I should of done it with this Article marketing robot review).
Hi Alex,
Before I sent you email regarding the low successful sign up rate. Out of 3551 directories I have, I only got 578 successful sign up.
But now I have about 1538 successful sign up (almost 3 times I think :)) By just applying one simple tips:
in your AMR, go to options, change the ‘Threading’ to 10 and ‘Timeout’ to 50 or 60.
This way I got a pretty rate. Hope this can be helpful 🙂
Regards,
Andrew
AHhh nice thanks for the update, that is a much more realistic number :).
Links aren’t working on my browser (Firefox 8)….If Im going to sign-up you might as well make your comms!
That’s odd… For me it works but it gives me small errors in firefox/chrome. I think it’s because it used to redirect to a $10 discount page but the product owner took it down :(. I’ll keep that link up for a bit, hopefully the discount comes back.
Anyway the link is http://vaalion.amrobot.hop.clickbank.net/.
Cheers dude.
Annoyingly Ive discovered it doesn’t run on a mac and I’m wary of running VMware cos I don’t want to slow my nice new macbook down!
You might want to get a VPS then, it’s where I run AMR from. You could get the cheaper one for $15/month. It’s also nifty to run other software that run in the background. I personally like it since that way I have all my tools/software on the VPS and I can access it from my portal or desktop :).
Here is a link to the guide I made a while back about setting up a VPS if you are interested.
Hey Alex,
Awesome blog and great article. My question to you is: Have you ever followed the 40 day strategy by Archibald (Warriors Forum). The idea that you use AMR and SB to backlink to your web 2.0s/ Word Press/ Blogs as a buffer from your niche site? This way you stay away from getting sandboxed, because the 2.0s can handle the links. What do you think?
Like many other back linking strategies it works fine. I tried that in the past. I personally do not see a difference that makes it worth the effort ( but I still sometimes do it.. but when I test all links to one url and 2 “tiers” of links I dont see much of a significant difference).
Alex and Alex, with the last BigG update the directories of articles lost much of its power, is still worth it to use them in 2012?
While I am sure with time they will lose power, for me that is still not entirely the case.
