Hey guys,
I want to share my Ezarticlelink Review, a great service that has a FREE and PAID version that I both used for Good/GREAT results.
I started using EZA almost a year ago now and I wanted to recommend it a long time ago on the blog. However, back in late March possibly due to the Google Panda update I had lost some rankings done with this service on a few “virgin” domains that I had not done any other form of backlinking.
However, these domains have come back very strong around October and I sent it as an email to those who subscribed to our email list as a thank you. I think some of the strength of this network is because even though it has been super effective for me (jeez that word has to have came out of hundreds of hours of pokemon as a kid…) it’s not heavily promoted unlike the more mainstream networks such as BB/BMR/AR so I figured sending it only to the list wouldn’t be a problem (and I probably overestimate the linkback’s readership impact on destroying and abusing a network :P).
Test results!
I have since started testing it on some new websites I registered a while ago but never did backlinks to. So in October 2011 these also got some quick ranking results, including a 20,000 traffic per month keyword reaching #5 within 3 weeks of promotion and eventually stabilizing at #1 for many months! This is by far my biggest winner, considering I only used ezarticlelink for it, as a paid subscriber your articles are drip feeded indefinitely in the system so it seems like the 0 to 5 additional backlinks a day were enough to keep it at #1. The monthly fee is paid within 2 days with this website :).
While it’s always fun to show #1 rankings I also wanted to show some other ones where you can see EZA clearly helped by itself and also was able to maintain the mid page rankings over a long period of time. At some point it briefly was #2. I most likely could get a higher ranking at this point if I tried other networks or AMR/BMD.
Finally, a keyword I just started working on from scratch on a 1 month old page, this one is lower competition then the other 2 above though (those I estimate to be around medium):
How does ezarticlelink work?
It’s different from other article syndication services. First off as a free member you HAVE to submit some blogs that the service can post other people’s articles to. You can syndicate articles linking to that domain in the entire network and then you can also have a “post only” domain which as you can guess means it can accept backlinks and does not need to accept articles (perfect for money sites). With the paid version, you get one free “post only” blog. With both versions for every domain you allow posting, you can add a “post only” domain.
– While I very rarely used adsense on the blogs accepting other people’s posts, I did on one and saw no impact on rankings/earnings. However I would recommend you register some new domains and submit them to the system once they are indexed. Or do like I did at the time and use the domains that failed to gain rankings or turned out to be shitty keywords that I lost interest in.
– As a free member your article is sent to 100-200 other blogs and as a paying member it will be distributed very quickly until 300 and then at a rate of 5 blogs per day. You most likely will see ranking changes even as a free member.
– As a paid member you also get 100 Bonus Backlink Credits per submitted article with spin syntax. I have used these a lot to do backlinks to my own backlinks because I saw minor ranking changes when used on my main sites but I like to use them to make my other backlinks more powerful, though since this would be time consuming to do I mostly reserve it for guest posts or links from high PR site I somehow managed to get. These backlinks can be to any URL.
For more information on their service check out the FAQ on the main page and sign up for the free account. I think most of you will find the ranking improvements quite good and will upgrade sooner or later ;).
If you want to ask me any questions about my ezarticle link review feel free to ask in the comments!
Keep linking, Alex
Are these links permanent, and do they go away if you unsubscribe?
they are permanent yes. If you unsubscribe your links do not move away since you are just downgraded to a free account. Unlike paid accounts you won’t get 0-5 more links per article a day though at that point and new articles will submit to 100-200 directories only.
Hey Alex,
Glad that your sites came back to life. I will also give EZA a big plus for putting 6 sites that I have all on the first page of G within a month of adding 3 each of articles and getting my Adsense earnings to $100+ per month. So, now I am working on a new batch and the sites that failed or I lost interest in I added (like you did) to EZA.
Thanks!
what i like is that it’s not that expensive… =) and really easy to use.
Alex, what software are you using for tracking your rankings?
YA it’s a really good price, it’s one of the first networks I ended up paying full time for because I saw good results on the trial after 2 tests 1-2 years ago. For rank tracking I use Market Samurai which I bought a long time ago back when I used it for keyword research… I wouldn’t buy it just for rank tracking though, you can find free alternatives out there.
Hey Alex, was just wondering, you know in one of your articles you suggest a setup of youtube, ezine articles and your money post, with 20 blog blueprint links going to each one, well Ezine articles doesn’t allow you to talk about celebrities which are some I am targeting, what do you recommend as a replacement for Ezine articles, go articles or something or maybe hubpages?
I would do hubpage instead of ezine/go articles in that scenario.
thanks a lot mate. I am making decent part time income from my various sites, when I graduate in the summer I hope to pick this up full time, so will be consulting your blog quite often, you seem to be one the good guys, too many cowboys onine
I wonder how many articles you add per site?
That entirely depends on how big the website is which means you are targeting more keywords… My biggest one has about 50 articles. Another one has about 20. And my smaller websites of 5-10 pages or so have about 2-5 articles.
I usually only do 1-2 article per url, it’s enough usually to see a good increase.
Thanks for the answer. What about the content you use for EZA? I use my original webpage content and lots of scraped content. I just love EZA spinning application, very easy to use. Do you outsource or spin articles by yourself?
I used to do it myself, nowadays I have others do it, often from EZA since right now I’m not doing that many new articles so it’s easier for me to just pay them $3 then to find someone on a part time basis to work for me.
“Small website of 5-10 pages, with 2-5 articles” ?
I’m a noob, and I don’t get this. 2-5 articles submitted to ezarticles, or 2-5 articles on the site (blog?). Don’t get how you can have 5-10 pages with only 2-5 articles 🙂
And if it’s 2-5 submitted, how many articles do you have on your smaller sites, assuming they’re blogs?
2-5 submitted to ezarticle for some of those pages, usually the ones I want to rank the most (because I get most of my best results from this network nowadays for the time investment).
5-10 pages means they have 5-10 articles (pages/posts of content).
Is this all you are using now? Becker was recommending Blog Blueprint. Do you have a list of the exact steps you take after you have built out a site and if you outsource who you use, i am getting confused with all the backlinking process:(
Some say they do RSS feeds, social bookmarking and just about everything there is that can be done with backlinking, is all this really necessary (i know a lot depends on your keyword of choice and competition etc) but is all this other linking necessary or is a service like EZA all you need? Do you use PLR content for this?
many thanks
RSS feeds are pointless… I do social bookmarking but only if you use bookmarking demon, the rest tended to be useless. Blog blueprint never worked well for me, EZA has done great for me so ultimately you just have to try and see for yourself what works best for you.
You can check my guide here for backlinks:http://thelinkback.com/seo-link-building/
Many thanks for your quick reply Alex.
Do i need to make post only for each domain. I wanted to makes links in 20 domains, so why shd i make post only folder in each domain?
No, it’s fine to not do post only. As I said in the review I did it for 1 of my money sites and never got any problems. I also did it on other sites to help for the rankings but those ended up being in bad niches (so I removed adsense instead of putting a $1day website on it). The rankings did not change in 1+ year.
hey Alex,
I remember you talked about promoting international keywords(french it was i think?)
how you promote international keywords ( i want to promote some hebrew keywords, but most services not allow international words)
i’d love to hear your opinion regarding were can i get backlinks…
Ezarticle link does ok with french keywords. I do english articles and when relevant I try to add french ones. Besides that, you could try more spammy methods like bookmarking demon or AMR but of course you won’t get the same results since some sites with quality control will ban your submissions.
Hey Alex,
Awesome review. Wasn’t aware of ezarticlelink 🙂
I find my biggest problem is content creation and getting it spun effectively post panda.
What’s your take on using vita vee’s ultra spinnable articles for content? Yay or nay?
Alternatives would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
JD
I would say it’s “kinda” Yay. I would not use it on my main blogs but I was using them (and I still get daily ones) when testing web 2.0s and putting content on aged domains. They also were ok to use for some networks (but often they are too annoying to deal with and inserting your links inside…).
You could use them for extra content on your main site but I would try to get “real” unique articles for the keywords you are targeting.
Finally I found a helpful review! Most of the other ones I’ve found were basically sales pitches. -_- Anyways is it still working for you? I’ve submitted one site as a directory so far but am hesitant to start backlinking to my own sites because the only article on my directory doesn’t link anywhere.. so I don’t want to be putting my own content out there if I’m not getting a link out of it, yaknow? Are we just not able to see the links to other people’s sites on our own directory? Let me know what you think. 🙂 Thanks again for the helpful post!!
You should be able to see the link in your directory. One of the 3 random places you put the %keyword1%/2/3 tags will randomly be chosen as the anchor text when you submit an article.
How’s EZA doing now after penguin?
It still has it’s uses and they recently added a feature to make a % of your backlinks no follow. I think what’s really important with it is to mix your anchor text a lot.
Hey alex I got a question.
What’s the point on beeing a gold member for unlimatied backlinks of your article since we know that it is not good to send your article too many times ? They even recommend themself not to send it more than 50 times.
Good question. For me nowadays I keep the gold member going because I have over 20 sites in there that accept articles and with gold member I can add as many as I want and in total I probably have over 50 now. I still think you can put more articles but you have to make sure your anchor diversity is much higher. Instead of 1 article with 600 distribution and 3 anchor text, I would rather have 3 articles with 200 distribution each with a total of 9+ anchor text diversification.
Hi Alex,
It’s been almost 2 years since the article has been shared. I’d just like to know how EZA is going in 2013-14 while in Post-Penguin (hummingbird).
Thanks,
Eidell
